August has been a great month! At the beginning of this month, my teerak came to visit Chaing Mai for a few days. I was stoked to see her and took her climbing at Crazy Horse. (I have wanted to take her there for awhile and finally I did!) She climbs so well that I didn't believe it was her first time climbing. She is a natural at it, but next time we will climb more!

The rest of the month was spent planning the second series of CMRCA's C3 Community Crank, this was my first time organizing the event. And after much hard work finally on August 28, the CRANK took place. and everything went great. Both categories of crank, adult and kid, was enjoyed by all, whether they were climbing or watching. Thank you all CMRCA staff to help make this Crank an awesome event. To see photos check out: http://www.chiangmaiclimbing.
The kids who participated at CMRCA's Community Crank, along with those at my last climbing competition in BKK, have really caught my interest. In BKK there were a lot of young climbers and it has made me think, "why not coach kids in Chiang Mai?" We have nice climbing areas both at Crazy Horse in CM and in Chiang Dao. They are peaceful locations and would be great places to coach the next generation of climbers. So I think this is my new objective, to train and inspire young climbers to achieve new heights. With Community Crank and a few more ideas in the works, I am sure we can start a kids climbing craze here in CM!

For myself, I have realized I never want to stop learning, training and pushing to the next level. To be an inspiration to others you have to have motivation inside yourself.
Never stop learning, climbing and training!
Cheers
